Telecom runs on networks. We run the tooling.

Hybrid cloud, 5G and edge workloads, slow incident response, and Atlassian and AWS bills that don't follow usage. Triangu operates the cloud and IT layer under telecom operators, on AWS, GitLab and Atlassian, with AI where it saves time and one governance model from data center to edge.

The Challenge

Recognize any of these?

THE CHALLENGE
HOW WE SOLVE IT
Challenge: Hybrid cloud grows faster than control: who deployed what, why costs jumped, are we compliant?
How we solve it: One governance model across every AWS account and on-prem: Terraform for consistency, centralized observability, automated cost and compliance reporting.
Challenge: Every new network capability brings another platform and another operating model.
How we solve it: A single operating model across cloud and edge. Network and IT workloads run on the same AWS APIs, services and practices.
Challenge: Legacy BSS/OSS and disconnected systems keep you reactive instead of predictive.
How we solve it: Phased BSS/OSS migration and an integration layer that connects billing, CRM and network data in one place.
Challenge: Incidents drag on while engineers hunt for context across Confluence and old tickets.
How we solve it: A Rovo incident agent in Jira Service Management surfaces runbooks, past incidents and JSM Playbooks directly in the ticket.
Challenge: Atlassian and AWS bills reflect default licensing, not real usage.
How we solve it: Licensing and billing reviewed against actual usage: Marketplace costs cut where apps are billed to the whole site, Cloud migration made commercially viable.
Challenge: Critical NOC knowledge lives in a few senior engineers' heads, not in a system.
How we solve it: Triage logic captured in runbooks and agent skills, in Jira Service Management and Confluence, searchable with Rovo AI, so every shift triages the same way.
Who we work with

Built for the teams that keep the network running

Most of our telecom clients run hybrid environments: data centers, AWS and the edge, with legacy BSS/OSS in the middle. We also work with MVNOs, telco software vendors and connectivity providers.

Mobile network operators

Network growth outpaces the control you have over the platform beneath it.

One governance model across AWS and on-prem, and a path to run 5G core and edge workloads on the same operating model.

Fixed-line & broadband

Every outage becomes a ticket storm before anyone has the context.

Incident response in Jira Service Management with runbooks and past incidents surfaced in the ticket, plus 24/7 monitoring.

MVNOs & challengers

Operator-grade reliability, without an operator-sized platform team.

Managed CloudOps with SLAs, automated infrastructure and transparent cost reporting, so a small team runs a telco-grade platform.

BSS/OSS & telco software

Operators judge you on every integration and every release.

CI/CD with a per-release audit trail, an integration layer for billing, CRM and network APIs, and landing zones per customer.

IoT & connectivity

Costs jump and nobody can say which customer or product drove it.

Per-customer and per-product cost visibility, tagging governance, and AWS billing with partner-led support through Triangu.

Telco IT & NOC teams

Knowledge lives in a few senior engineers and leaves when they do.

Runbooks, JSM Playbooks and AI-assisted triage so every shift gets the same answers, validated on real incidents before rollout.

What we do for telecom operators

Nine infrastructure practices, from FinOps to AI, one accountable partner for everything under your network and IT platforms.

Integration Services

BSS/OSS, billing, CRM and network APIs each need a secure, reliable connection to the cloud. We provision and operate the API gateways, event pipelines and hybrid connectivity that keep systems talking, without fragile glue code.

Integration Services

A telecom stack is many systems operating as one: billing, CRM, BSS/OSS, network APIs and the cloud. We provision and operate the infrastructure that connects them and keep it running when any one of them changes.

  • Hybrid connectivity between data center and AWS, designed for reliability and governed like the rest of the estate
  • API gateway and event-driven integration layer (API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS) connecting billing, CRM and network systems
  • Phased BSS/OSS migration support, sequenced by risk rather than convenience
  • Secure connectivity: mTLS, VPC PrivateLink, and IP allowlisting where a vendor requires it
  • Data contracts and schema validation, so a format change in one system doesn't break another overnight
  • API Gateway
  • EventBridge
  • Hybrid Connectivity
  • BSS/OSS

FinOps Services

Cut AWS waste and see exactly what each product, customer and environment costs you. We handle tagging, rightsizing and billing consolidation through our AWS Solution Provider agreement — private pricing where volume qualifies, and Partner-Led Support: 24/7 with a named engineer, below Enterprise Support rates.

FinOps Services

The typical hybrid telecom AWS account we review has untagged resources, costs nobody can attribute, and no way to say what a single product or customer costs. We address this directly, with implementation, not just recommendations.

  • Week 1: connect read-only to all accounts, map spend to workloads, surface top cost drivers, no architecture changes required
  • Tagging governance: every resource attributed to product, customer, environment and owner
  • Rightsizing and autoscaling review against your actual traffic patterns, not averages
  • Savings Plans and Reserved Instance restructuring, sized to baseline load, with peaks left on demand
  • Automated cost reporting (Cost and Usage Report + AWS Budgets) and consolidated billing through our AWS Solution Provider agreement, with private pricing where volume qualifies
  • Typical outcome on a ~30-account AWS estate: mandatory tagging and cost categories cut unallocated spend from ~22% to under 2% and lifted forecast accuracy from ~65% to ~95%
  • AWS Partner-Led Support in place of Enterprise Support: 24/7 case handling by Triangu engineers with AWS escalation paths, at partner-set pricing; satisfies the support requirement of a partner-led private pricing agreement

Managed Services

Round-the-clock monitoring and incident response across AWS and on-prem, with one governance model, centralized observability and automated infrastructure. We answer who deployed what and why costs moved, before you have to ask.

Managed Services

A hybrid environment works on day one and gets harder to answer for every month after: who deployed that, why did costs jump, are we compliant? Our managed operations run the system, not just the connectivity.

  • 24/7 monitoring and incident response with defined SLAs and monthly MTTR reporting
  • Unified governance across all AWS accounts, with a standardized approach across cloud and on-prem
  • Full observability through centralized logging and monitoring instead of fragmented tools
  • Runbook-driven operations, knowledge in documented procedures, not in one engineer's head
  • Security operations: GuardDuty, WAF, Shield, IAM hardening across regulated environments
  • CloudWatch
  • Centralized Logging
  • GuardDuty
  • WAF + Shield

AI Services

Knowledge assistants, AI-assisted incident response and NOC triage, validated before they touch production. We test on your real documents and incidents first, then recommend a rollout. Try our live demo on Amazon Bedrock. We also implement the AI tools your engineering and NOC teams use: Claude, Rovo, Amazon Bedrock, and GitLab Duo.

AI Services

Most AI assistant pitches are a slide deck and a promise. We test the assistant against your own documents and incidents before recommending any rollout, and flag exactly where it breaks.

  • Knowledge assistants on Amazon Q Business over documentation scattered across Confluence, including multilingual content, validated in rounds of real test scenarios before go-live
  • AI-assisted incident response with Rovo and Jira Service Management
  • AI-assisted QA and bug triage: incoming issues classified, prioritized and routed to the right team
  • Log anomaly detection: unusual patterns in application and infrastructure logs surfaced before they become an incident
  • Built on Amazon Bedrock, live at bedrock-qa.triangu.com. Not a mockup, not slides

DevOps Services

Faster, safer releases with a full audit trail built in. We set up infrastructure as code and CI/CD the right way from day one, so drift and manual changes stop being the main source of incidents.

DevOps Services

Manual changes and configuration drift are where hybrid environments lose control. We build delivery platforms where every change is automated, attributed and auditable.

  • Well-Architected AWS foundations: EKS, multi-region where the business case holds, everything in Terraform
  • Infrastructure as code with automated, consistent deployments, to eliminate manual drift
  • GitLab CI/CD with SAST/DAST in the pipeline, protected branches, and approval gates
  • Per-release audit trail: who changed what, who approved, what was scanned
  • On-prem Kubernetes on Red Hat OpenShift (vSphere) with GitOps (ArgoCD), Grafana/Prometheus monitoring and EFK logging, built to a telecom security department's requirements
  • GitLab CI/CD
  • Terraform
  • SAST / DAST
  • EKS
  • OpenShift

Architecture Design

Before we write a line of Terraform, we map the target architecture: accounts, hybrid connectivity between data center and AWS, edge, and failure domains. You get a landing zone and Well-Architected blueprint, not a slide deck.

Architecture Design

A target architecture on a slide is not a landing zone. We design the account structure, network, edge and failure domains first, so DevOps and Managed Services have a blueprint to build against.

  • Well-Architected Framework reviews against AWS's six pillars, scoped to your actual workload, not a generic checklist
  • Multi-account landing zone design: organization structure, network topology, and blast-radius containment per environment or country
  • Hybrid and edge design: one operating model across data center, cloud and edge, including AWS Outposts where latency requires it
  • Failure-domain and disaster-recovery design: what happens to subscribers' services if a region goes down
  • Migration and modernization roadmaps for legacy platforms moving to AWS, with target-state diagrams and decision records
  • Well-Architected Review
  • Landing Zone Design
  • AWS Outposts
  • DR Architecture

ITSM Services

Incidents, changes and assets in one place with Jira Service Management, configured for ITIL-aligned operations. Add a Rovo incident agent that surfaces runbooks and past incidents in the ticket, and review Atlassian licensing against real usage.

ITSM Services

Incident time is mostly context-hunting. We configure Jira Service Management so runbooks, past incidents and the audit trail are in the ticket, and we make sure your Atlassian licensing matches how you actually work.

  • Jira Service Management + Confluence configured for ITIL-aligned request, incident, change, and knowledge management
  • Rovo Incident Response Agent: surfaces relevant runbooks and historical incidents in the ticket, recommends JSM Playbooks, drafts the post-incident report
  • JSM Assets as the configuration management database: services, environments, and their dependencies mapped
  • Atlassian licensing re-engineered on measured usage: Enterprise tiering, multi-instance sub-tiering of expensive apps, dual licensing at the Data Center renewal, price-lock before list increases
  • Runbook optimization, Jira automation, integrations and team enablement delivered end-to-end

Real-Time Network & Edge Workloads

Latency-sensitive 5G core and Cloud RAN workloads need infrastructure that behaves the same at the edge as in the cloud. We design cloud-native architectures that extend the AWS operating model to the edge with services like AWS Outposts.

Real-Time Network & Edge Workloads

5G core and Cloud RAN workloads are latency-sensitive and don't tolerate noisy neighbors. The next step in network modernization is fewer operating models, not more infrastructure.

  • Cloud-native architecture for 5G core and centralized RAN functions, designed on the same AWS APIs and practices your teams already use
  • Edge infrastructure that extends the AWS operating model closer to the network (AWS Outposts)
  • Low-latency compute sizing and networking where timing budgets are tight (EC2/EKS, placement groups, enhanced networking)
  • Autoscaling and capacity planning tuned to real traffic peaks, tested before the event, not after
  • A foundation ready for AI-driven network automation
  • AWS Outposts
  • EKS / EC2
  • 5G Core
  • Cloud RAN

Compliance Readiness

ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, data residency and digital sovereignty: every audit wants logs, not policies. We build the infrastructure evidence — continuous compliance monitoring, change records, data residency per jurisdiction — so your next audit is a query away. We are not an auditor; we make sure you pass one.

Compliance Readiness

Telecom operators answer to auditors and regulators across several countries. Most platform teams have never assembled infrastructure evidence for an audit and have nobody to spare for it. We do this alongside your compliance team, to the specification they set.

  • Continuous monitoring against ISO 27001 and GDPR controls, with automated compliance reporting
  • Readiness assessment (1–2 weeks): gap list, remediation plan and evidence map for your target frameworks and regulators
  • Build integrity: signed artefacts and a per-release audit pack, so the audited build is verifiably the deployed build
  • Data residency and sovereignty per jurisdiction designed into the landing zone
  • Change-control evidence in Jira Service Management; remediation of findings; support through re-audit
  • ISO 27001 / GDPR
  • NIS2
  • Audit Pack
  • Data Residency
  • JSM Change Records

How We Approach It

Large Telecom Operator

From Hybrid Complexity to Operational Control

Terrafom
amazon-tab
A large telecom provider needed more than connectivity between its data center and AWS. As the hybrid environment grew, it faced blind spots across cloud and on-prem, manual bottlenecks with unclear change ownership, and slow incident resolution caused by fragmented data.

Instead of adding tools, Triangu focused on how the system is operated: unified governance across all AWS accounts, standardized security policies, one approach across cloud and on-prem, centralized logging and monitoring, and infrastructure as code Terraform to eliminate manual drift.

Incident response time dropped by 30%. The client now has automated cost reporting and financial visibility, continuous monitoring against ISO 27001 and GDPR, and a well-governed platform ready for future growth.

From $104K to $6K a Year: Fixing the Marketplace Licensing Architecture

atlassian-tab
A telecom operator with 2,000 Atlassian users was spending over $100k a year on three Marketplace apps. The apps were not the problem. Cloud apps inherit the site's full user tier, so tools used by about 350 people, such as test management and portfolio planning, were billed for all 2,000.

Triangu audited real active users per product and app, then re-engineered the licensing structure: specialist apps moved to small dedicated instances under one Cloud Enterprise subscription, each sized to the people who actually use it.

Re-priced on real usage, the three apps cost about $6k a year instead of $104k. The roughly $98k saving covers the Enterprise premium on Jira, so embedded Atlassian Guard and centralized control come nearly free and Cloud Enterprise becomes commercially viable.

Scaling a National Live Broadcast in 10 Days

AWS Cloudfront
amazon-tab

A major live broadcast was expected to peak at up to 20,000 requests per second, and the infrastructure had to be ready in about 10 days. The challenge was not the traffic itself. It was making sure the platform would hold when it mattered, with a single CDN, unconfirmed origin failover and unproven multi-region redundancy.

Triangu validated CloudFront quotas, cache strategy, origin failover, multi-region resilience, backend load, geo-restriction and disaster recovery in three phases: quotas, Origin Shield and baselines first; load testing, cache tuning and failover next; then a full rehearsal with chaos testing and a war room.

The result was peak-load-ready infrastructure, risks mitigated before air, a tested failover plan, and readiness for a major live event in 10 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

What telecom teams usually ask before bringing us in.

Do you build the network or telco platform itself?

No. We work on what runs underneath it: cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, integrations, and ITSM. If you need a 5G core, BSS/OSS software or a billing engine built, that's a different vendor; we're often brought in alongside one.

What are the advantages of choosing Triangu as a partner?

One team, holding senior partner status across AWS, GitLab, and Atlassian, so you're not stitching together a cloud vendor, a DevOps contractor, and a separate ticketing consultant. Audit and monitoring findings turn into implemented changes, not just recommendations. The same team also brings AI into that stack, from Claude and Rovo to Amazon Bedrock and GitLab Duo.

What specialized services for telecom do you offer?

Integration Services, Compliance Readiness, FinOps and AWS billing, Managed Services, AI Services, DevOps Services, Architecture Design, ITSM Services, and Real-Time Network & Edge Workloads — covering what actually breaks at scale: hybrid cloud control, incident response, and cloud and licensing costs.

How do you handle incidents and peak network load?

Incident response is built into the ticket: runbooks and past incidents are surfaced automatically, with 24/7 monitoring behind it. Capacity and scaling rules are planned and load-tested ahead of known peaks, not handled reactively once traffic is already spiking.

How do you handle compliance and data sovereignty requirements?

Requirements differ by country and regulator: ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, data residency and sovereignty rules. We design the landing zone, pipeline and monitoring so the evidence each auditor or regulator asks for is generated by the platform. We configure to the specification set by your legal and compliance team; we don't provide legal advice ourselves.

Do you take over our existing GitLab/Atlassian setup, or start from scratch?

We work with what you already have. Most engagements start by auditing and cleaning up existing pipelines and ITSM workflows rather than replacing them.

Ready to run your network infrastructure with fewer moving parts?

Book a free 30-minute strategy call with our telecom infrastructure team. We'll show you exactly where your operations are at risk and what it takes to fix it.
