Atlassian has announced that Data Center products reach end of life on March 28, 2029, at 23:59 PST. Until then, Atlassian continues to provide technical support, critical security fixes and Data Center to Cloud connectors. Planning your move to Atlassian Cloud early gives your team time to migrate without pressure and to start using new cloud features and built-in AI sooner.
Support winds down in three phases (all at 23:59 PST):
Your data stays available in read-only mode, but there are no more product updates, technical support or security fixes. Atlassian advises against keeping a read-only instance connected to the internet and recommends backing up your data for long-term access.
End of life covers Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bamboo and Crowd Data Center, along with Data Center mobile apps and the Marketplace apps built for these products.
Bitbucket Data Center and Jira Align Data Center are not affected. Existing Bitbucket Data Center customers get a Bitbucket Hybrid License that covers both Bitbucket Data Center and Bitbucket Cloud.
